Cova Tallada: how to get there and booking

From the year 2019, during the summer months you can only access the Cova Tallada with a previous reservation.

In that year, the resolution establishing the access restrictions to the Cova Tallada, located in the Natural Park of Montgó and which is accessed from the path of Les Rotes (Dénia), was approved. As of summer 2019, the maximum number of people is set at 482 per day, not being able to exceed 71 visitors at the same time.

The reservation to the Cova Tallada can be made through the official website of the natural park, in this link, and only allows 5 tickets to be reserved per user. This procedure is mandatory if you want to visit the spectacular grotto of the Costa Blanca between June 15 and September 30, which is when more people visit the cave. In addition, it is not possible to make the reservation more than 10 days in advance, and the ticket allows a maximum stay in the Cova Tallada of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Cova Tallada: how to get there

The easiest way is to access from Dénia. It is best to park next to the Calas de Les Rotes, without accessing or attempting to park on Vía Láctea street, since on the way back we could find a fine or without the car, because the municipal crane will have taken it. Keep in mind that parking space is very limited, so it is advisable to avoid summer weekends or the month of August. Already on foot, we go up the Vía Lactea street to reach the path that will lead us to the Cova Tallada, in about 30 minutes.
